Yoga Nidra Recordings
please begin with the shorter 15 or 20 minute practices if you are new to yoga nidra or are returning to the practise after some time.
Yoga nidra is allowing the body and mind to completely relax whilst remaining aware, which can be challenging at first as rest and lying on our back usually signals sleep! When your practise deepens you will find that the mind will begin to surf the different states of consciousness. A deeply relaxed body and mind encourages a healthier body and mind. You may find your sleep improves or ability to cope with anxiety, fear or stress improves.
Please note - there are many different lineages of yoga nidra and my recordings reflect this. Not all are the same. You may find you like to stick with one recording or make every practise different. There is no wrong or right way to practise. Importance is placed on rest. Allow yourself to let go.
Ancient yogi’s believed yoga nidra should be practised in the evening or first thing early in morning before 7am. You will come to find what time suits you better for a regular practise. My personal preferred time is in the morning.
